P.R.A.I.S.E. Girls – Perpetual Remnant Aligned In Serving El Olam (Everlasting God)

by: Lottie Valles

In this week’s blog, I find myself wondering about the world that we are living in.   The world that we have been privileged to live in. YES, Privileged. As different as we all view it, and with all the unrest that we see around the world, I can still say, it is a privilege and we should be thankful to GOD.

All of this time spent wondering about life and privilege in our lifetime, we have all come to know some amazing people and some not-so-amazing people. They have impacted our lives in one way or another, good or bad, they have made an impact in our lives. As a Christian, I believe that GOD puts these people in our lives for a reason. We may not know at the time how they are going to impact our lives, but if GOD is trying to use them or use us for HIS purpose, we will understand at some point. Therefore, we need to be the “light” that GOD has asked us to be.

I recently had some company coming to our home that “kind of” invited themselves. My husband and I were not anticipating the 3-day visit that they informed us they would be staying. I should also reiterate here that this couple is family members with 2 small children, one of which is “quite full of energy”. We love them and we have helped them through their hard times in the past, so we knew their personalities and that the conversations we would be having over the next 3 days would be NON-STOP,  without ceasing. That would be a little more tolerable if my husband and I would not be dealing with the stress we have experienced over the past year. We were just not ready for prime time if you know what I mean. We have been enjoying our quiet time, much of which has been spent with the Lord. We knew that we were going to have 3-days of non-stop conversations, crying children, picking up after them, cooking, extra laundry, changing and making beds, etc. We were already frustrated before they even got here.

All of this was weighing heavy on my heart and I knew that I needed to go to the Lord in prayer and ask HIM to grant us a peaceful heart, and a calm spirit in, for what seemed to be, an unloving heart.  This is not the way GOD wanted us to greet our family or anyone for that matter. When I prayed, GOD touched my heart and put me on the right path.

Upon their arrival, we found ourselves giving love and being loved in return. The children were amazing, well behaved, and I truly enjoyed holding the baby and feeding her the bottle.  My nephew and his wife are devoted Christians. They are now studying the Jewish culture and learning about their prophetic holidays like Feast of Tabernacles, Shabat, Feast of unleavened bread, etc. We discussed where “we think we are” in prophetic times.

Of course, there was some of the “Stuff” that comes along with having company, but honestly, we did not mind. The 3 days together with them felt right. It gave us some reasons for laughter where there were usually tears.   It was a little sad to see them have to return home. GOD truly blessed us all with HIS amazing wisdom and the graciousness that HE gives HIS children.

As I look back over the past 3 days, I can truly see how GOD used our time together to bless each other. I am so thankful that we serve an amazing and loving Father in Heaven.

I pray that you will let HIM into your heart so that you too may be blessed.

Prov. 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge HIM, and HE will make your path’s straight.
