P.RA.I.S.E. Girls was founded due to a tragic event on Friday, October 13, 2023, in Fresno, California.

It was on that night when returning from dinner, my son Freddie, a renowned and loved Interventional Cardiologist. My daughter-in-law Salina, a loving mother of 3, a dedicated estate broker, and a server of the community, lost their life in a single-car accident when they crashed into a tree in the center divider.

This tragedy left my husband and me in utter shock and devastation. We immediately rushed to the home of Freddie and Salina, where our grandchildren were and they had already received the worst news possible.

It was my Faith in Jesus Christ and what happened next, that gave me the strength and comfort I needed in that very moment.

“God sent me a vision. Jesus was sitting on a large boulder with Freddie and Salina on each side of HIM. HIS arms were around them, Freddie on the left and Salina on the right. Her hair was slightly moving in the wind and all three had big, beautiful smiles. It was as if HE was telling me, they are with me, they’re safe and they’re happy.”

In my grief, God spoke to my heart. I had to take this heartache and turn it into something to Glorify God. That is when I felt the Holy Spirit impress upon my heart to start a women’s ministry that would serve women and children in need of hearing the Gospel. With this vision, the Grace of God, and blind faith, P.R.A.I.S.E. Girls was established.
